My name is Madison Scott, and I am an OTA student at Stark State College. I was lucky enough to be placed with Sendero Therapies for my level I pediatric fieldwork experience. I have already gained so much hands on experience and clinical knowledge in just four weeks at my site!
My fieldwork educator has been so helpful with answering my questions, modeling what a dedicated and kind practitioner looks like, and showing me the ins and outs of pediatric school- based practice. I have seen evaluations, documentation, evidence-based treatments, data collection, and collaboration with multiple disciplines.
From the start, I was encouraged to jump right in and assist hands on with treatments. I have been able to build a rapport with the kids I see every week and absolutely adore them! Working with them has given me more confidence going into my future fieldwork and career.
Sendero has helped confirm for me that pediatric occupational therapy is where I want to be! They have set me up for my future in the profession by enhancing my passion and giving me many resources for my success. I feel very fortunate to have been placed with Sendero Therapies for my level I fieldwork!
